You need a KRA PIN for jobs, bank accounts, business registration and many government services. Registration is free on iTax.
What you need
- National ID number
- Date of birth exactly as on your ID
- An email address you can open
- Your phone number
Steps
- 1Go to itax.kra.go.ke and choose New PIN Registration.
- 2Select Individual and the online form.
- 3Enter your ID and personal details.
- 4Add your email and contact details.
- 5Submit. Your PIN certificate is sent to your email.
Tip: Use an email you'll keep using. Your iTax password resets go there.
