There are two separate costs: the official fee paid to the Business Registration Service (BRS) on eCitizen, and any fee you pay someone to help. Keep them apart in your budget.
Business name vs limited company
- Business name (sole proprietor or partnership): cheapest and quickest; you and the business are legally the same
- Private limited company: costs more and needs more documents, but separates you from the business
