How to add your spouse and children to SHA

As a principal member you can add your spouse and children as dependants. They then use your cover.
Details you'll need
- Your ID number and SHA phone
- Spouse's National ID number
- Each child's birth certificate number
General steps
- 1Log in on the SHA portal or dial *147#.
- 2Open the beneficiaries / dependants option.
- 3Enter each person's details carefully.
- 4Confirm and check they now appear on your account.
Tip: If your spouse already registered as a principal member, adding them again may fail. Check their status first.
