How to apply for a Certificate of Good Conduct on eCitizen

How to apply for a Certificate of Good Conduct on eCitizen — Government guide by Cyber Kenya

The Certificate of Good Conduct (police clearance) is issued by the DCI. You apply on eCitizen, pay online, then go for fingerprinting.

Steps

  1. 1Log in to your eCitizen account (accounts.ecitizen.go.ke).
  2. 2Search for Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
  3. 3Choose Police Clearance Certificate and fill in the form.
  4. 4Pay the official fee via M-Pesa on the portal.
  5. 5Download and print the invoice and the fingerprint form (C24).
  6. 6Take your ID and the printouts to a DCI office or Huduma Centre for fingerprinting.
  7. 7Once processed, download the certificate from your eCitizen account.

Tip: Keep the printed invoice. You'll need it at the fingerprinting desk.
