Can you register for a KRA PIN on your phone? — Government guide by Cyber Kenya

You don't need a computer. The iTax website works on a smartphone browser, and KRA also runs phone-based services for some tasks.

Using a smartphone browser

  1. 1Open Chrome and go to itax.kra.go.ke.
  2. 2Turn on 'Desktop site' in the browser menu — the form is easier to fill.
  3. 3Follow the normal New PIN Registration steps.
  4. 4Open the email from KRA to download your PIN certificate.

Phone and app services

KRA offers a USSD service and the KRA M-Service app for things like PIN checking and some returns. Check kra.go.ke for the current code and what it supports.
